Back in the 80s I picked up a camera to photograph the architecture in and around Birmingham. I worked alongside a couple of contemporary architects producing images for publicity and reference. Although I maintained my interest, various other things took up my time until I rekindled an active interest in the early 2000s. My primary interest now is in making images relating to dance although I love making images of flowers and plants.

I make my living in education but I’m still making images whenever I can, preferably in least ideal conditions, no time to plan, no good light and yet somehow finding a moment or a story to capture.
